Practices · Numerology
Your name and date, reduced to living numbers.
Numerology treats number as a quality rather than a quantity — an idea reaching back to the Pythagorean schools. The Veil combines several systems and shows where they agree and where they differ.
The methods we use
Pythagorean numerology
Letters valued 1–9 in sequence. From your name and birth date come the Life Path, Expression, Soul Urge and Personality numbers.
Chaldean numerology
An older Babylonian-attributed system valuing letters by sound, 1–8, keeping compound numbers before reduction.
Kabbalah numerology and gematria
Hebrew letter values connected to the twenty-two paths and ten sefirot of the Tree of Life.
Saju (사주, Four Pillars)
Year, month, day and hour pillars of heavenly stems and earthly branches, the day master and the balance of the five elements.
